Actually I was trying to get you to keep the circles from overlapping. Choosing the modules to have a nice variation of scale makes the project stronger. The one in the upper left corner is a good example of that. One other variation is to have black touch each of the four edges for yet again even more strength.
I love how your ellipses overlap. It makes me think of a Rorschach test: kind of sinister, very evocative.
